Williams Wildfire Westernationals 2019 – “Back to Basics”

With the final public WARS launch on Sunday 18 August 2019; we are looking forward to WWW 2019 to be held at Williams launch site on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September (the long weekend at the beginning of the school holidays, start of the Royal Show week, or for AFL fans, Grand Final weekend). WWW is 6 weeks away!

Following on from the last few years of hosting two very large (successful) events, we are returning to the original model WARS started with 10 years ago with the theme “Back to Basics”.

This year there will be no fanfare; no large marquee’s with heaters, fireworks and a band, or fancy meals served to you at a dining table. We are returning to a good old fashioned roast banquet under the stars. The Cuballing Slice Off and various awards will still feature including the coveted Mission Specialist Award,  and Pink Hat and Sheraton Awards.

WARS cordially extends an invitation to all enthusiasts and spectators to join us.

Registrations are necessary (for catering and quality control); please register to avoid disappointment, and as refusal may offend.

Shirts are being finalised and the website should be online soon with details to purchase lunch and dinner.

The townsite of Williams, one of the oldest settled areas in Western Australia, is ideally situated about 160kms south of Perth (the capital city of WA), on the Albany Highway and is the "Gateway to the Great Southern Region". It is a small rural community with a local grocery store, arts and crafts shops, café, newsagency, petrol stations and accommodation.
