Williams “Wildfire” Westernationals 2018

Williams Wildfire Westernationals 2018 - 10th Anniversary

Following on from the successful 2016 "Destination Moon" event, WARS once again plays host to the AMRS National Circus when it returns to Williams in June 2018 for the organisations feature event of the year.

The event will be held on the long weekend; Saturday 2 June & Sunday 3 June at our Williams launch site.

WARS cordially extends an invitation to all enthusiasts and spectators to join us for the follow up event “Explorers on the Moon” featuring the “Thompson & Thomson Black Tie Gala Banquet & Fireworks Spectacular.” Following the banquet and fireworks our resident 'Rocket Band' will entertain our guests. It is essential to secure your ticket to this exclusive event as numbers will be strictly limited. Registrations are necessary to avoid disappointment and refusal may offend.

The Gala Banquet on Saturday night is an allocated seating event and WARS encourage attendee’s to purchase tables of 8.

Please see further information below (Catering) or via the Registration page

As stated, the Gala Dinner is a ‘Black Tie’ affair to acknowledge the WWW 2018 theme and 10 year Anniversary, and as such will require appropriate attire. In the spirit of the event, WARS advocates that individuals apply their own unique interpretation to this requirement.

The townsite of Williams, one of the oldest settled areas in Western Australia, is ideally situated about 160kms south of Perth (the capital city of WA), on the Albany Highway and is the "Gateway to the Great Southern Region". It is a small rural community with a local grocery store, arts and crafts shops, café, newsagency, petrol stations and accommodation.

“Mariescombe” – the Williams “Wildfire” Westernationals launch site is located 15km south of the townsite, and is a working farm with within a wool, livestock and grain producing area.

Narrogin is larger town located 30km east of Williams with shopping centres and a variety of retail shops (e.g. Coles, Target, Retravison, Chicken Treat, McDonalds, KFC), banks, hospital, accommodation, petrol station, etc.

Tents, caravans, RV’s, etc. are all welcome onsite at WWW for your comfortable stay. * Please note that access to the launch site is via a gravel road and farm tracks

Whilst there will be a generator onsite to provide power requirements for the event infrastructure, it is recommended that campers cater for their own specific needs.

Portable toilets will be available however there are no showering facilities onsite. This year event organisers have secured an arrangement with Darren & Vicki from the Williams Motel & Shady Acre Caravan Park for those that wish to make use of ablution facilities (at a small cost).

Further information will be contained in the Registration Package.

Limited drinking water is available onsite although water can be accessed at the Williams Roadhouse’s.

Camp fire (x 2) for your warmth and enjoyment. Children are to be strictly supervised.

Further accommodation can be found locally or within the area.
